The Salmon Pool is conveniently situated about half-way up the west coast of Cape Breton Island.

It is well located for daytrips around Cape Breton. Many of our guests are friends traveling together who make the Salmon Pool their base for sightseeing without the fuss and bother of changing accommodations every day. Daytrips can be relaxed with no rushing, luggage, or schedules to maintain.

We are 4 hours by car from the International Airport at Halifax and 90 minutes from the Sydney airport. Beautiful Baddeck is 45 minutes away and the Fortress of Louisburg is a 90-minute drive. The charming and historic community of Cheticamp is just a half-hour by car and Cape Breton Highlands Park is only 15 minutes beyond Cheticamp.
